Welcome Brad Knox!
Emergency Security Management (ESM) is pleased to announce that Brad Knox has joined us as the Regional Manager for British Columbia.
Brad is a seasoned and forward-thinking security professional with over two decades of experience spanning diverse roles in the public and private sectors. Proficient in both physical security and cybersecurity, he excels at implementing proactive measures to safeguard assets and data, navigating complex risk landscapes to ensure optimal security and minimize vulnerabilities.
Brad’s career was shaped by 15 years of service with the Canadian Armed Forces, operating as both a Soldier and Special Operations Coxswain supporting counterterrorism efforts against maritime threats. This essential experience led him to begin work as a Security Consultant for government agencies and executive protection clients, gradually honing a multifaceted skill set and a deep understanding of security operations.
Later in his career, Brad transitioned into private security, including several years as a Corporate Security Consultant and Lead Physical Security Consultant for one of Canada’s Big Five banks. He oversaw risk assessments on high-risk locations, supervised security upgrades, and designed physical security measures for more than 500 branches across Western Canada. Most recently, Brad was General Manager for a private security firm in Vancouver, overseeing a team of over 100 security professionals and managing staff development, security consultations, and threat intelligence services for law enforcement agencies and corporate clients.
When out of the office, Brad enjoys several hobbies, including playing in a band, practicing martial arts and fitness, and playing pinball. He also enjoys taking his dog out for walks and adventures.
