Security Manager, Emergency Security Management - Full Time (Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada)
The Security Manager is the primary senior point of contact between the client and the team on each account for which they are responsible. They work closely with their team and act as a mentor to those they supervise. The Security Manager is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the client receives quality service in a timely fashion and within the budget limitations. The Security Manager is also in collaboration with the sales team and senior management team responsible for developing the region’s client base and sells all of our primary services, maintaining quality and relationships within the region in line with the annual business development plan.
This is full time role, based in Burnaby, British Columbia.
Responsibilities:
Develop continuous sales Respond to our client’s requests with a quick, flexible, and operational approach that is based on sound strategy and that includes the client in the operational experience Take responsibility for the final product our company delivers to the client Be a team leader and provide coaching and mentoring to staff Fully versed in all divisional policies and procedures, and ensures the staff acknowledge and abide by them during the execution of their duties and responsibilities as an employee Operational project delivery for large projects and industrial disputes Development and expansion of business opportunities including: identifying opportunities; preparation and delivery of presentations; innovation and solutions to client issues; and sales and marketing Assist the Director in the development of a skilled and dedicated team of professionals Control of operational plans for the control of budget spending, service efficiency, quality and customer service Presenting weekly (or as required) reports or data to the Director for operational matters Assist the Director with short-term and long-term plans and programs, together with supporting budget requests. Complete objectives and procedures governing the performance of assigned activities. Issue objectives to subordinates and reviews objectives (performance reviews) Any other reasonable duty expected by senior management Working in close liaison with managers representing different service lines
Education:
Post-secondary diploma or degree in related field, accompanied with security guard or investigation training and work experience, equivalencies may be considered Experience in security planning and assessments an asset
Professional/Technical Certification or Licenses:
Possess a valid Security Guard License First Aid and CPR certification is an asset Valid Driver's License required
Job Knowledge or Work Experience:
7-10 years’ experience in a Security Management role Excellent listening, reading and administration skills, well organized and detail oriented Excellent communication skills (verbal and written English, a second language may be an asset) Proven ability to motivate, inspire and lead a team Goal-oriented to achieve targets through self-motivation, persistence and determination An analytical thinker with advanced problem solving skills Possesses up-to-date knowledge of the marketplace Ability to build and maintain relationships; customer service oriented Proficiency in MS Office products including: Excel, Word and PowerPoint Knowledge of TrackTik is an asset
Environment/Working Conditions:
Ability to walk up to 10 kilometers on site and stand for long periods of time Must be willing to travel between sites throughout the province Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000 plus bonus, allowances, e-flex benefits, and RRSP matching

We are currently recruiting a part time SIU Investigator to join our team in the Kingston, Ontario area.
The SIU department provides investigative services, technical expertise, and is a resource for clients nationally. The SIU department’s vision is of world class performance and technical expertise dedicated to the appropriate investigation consistent with the highest standards of professional, ethical, and legal conduct. The SIU department investigates files where there is a need for a more in-depth and specialized investigation beyond the scope of the client’s in-house availability and expertise. Where fact-finding is required, an SIU investigation is conducted in a fair, objective, thorough, timely and professional manner, enabling the client to objectively decide of the facts and circumstances, appropriately addressing fraudulent or non-meritorious matters, and facilitating the resolution of meritorious matters.
This is a casual position and hours fluctuate with the workload and time of the year.
Role Requirements:
15+ years of investigative experience ideally in Regulatory, Workplace Investigations, Insurance Claims, and Theft Investigations Consideration will also be given to those with significant expertise in one line of business based on experience Knowledge of legal processes and evidence collection Post-secondary education or equivalency in training Computer literacy and ability to learn new programs Possess a valid Ontario Private Investigators license Willingness to travel Valid Driver's license; Reliable vehicle and clean driving record
Skills Required:
